“ Sumakh brings refined Azerbaijani flavors to Bodrum’s marquee marina setting. Online guests most often highlight the freshly baked tandir bread, goat-cheese salad, and well-seasoned rice/pilaf dishes, along with the seaside views at Yalıkavak Marina. Several also point to specialties like the Baku tomatoes salad with cherry sauce and tender lemon chicken as popular picks. My experience: the food was excellent—clean, vivid flavors and technically well executed. Service was very good: attentive and professional without being intrusive. The atmosphere, while pleasant and anchored by the marina view, felt just “okay” to me in terms of warmth and character. Where the experience fell short was value: prices are, in my view, far above where they should be for what’s on the plate, even factoring in the marina premium that typically applies in Yalıkavak. If you go, the menu leans into Azerbaijani staples; well-regarded options include Chicken Lavangi (chicken stuffed with walnuts, onion, and dried fruits), Shah Pilaf wrapped in lavash, Lamb Lule kebab, and assorted tandoor items—all clearly listed on Sumakh’s English menu. Bottom line: Outstanding cooking and solid service in a prime location—but be prepared for steep pricing. I’d recommend it for the food, with the caveat that the value proposition may not suit everyone. ”

“ A very unique concept and what an amazing one. The view and service were great. The servers lacked a bit of communication skill especially since the food needs a lot of explanation. The menu focuses on Azerbaijani food (not far from Persian, Turkish food) All the dishes are unique to me but sound really interesting. Started with fresh hot bread and sour cherry salad. Unique and delicious new flavor Then came the mix grills and rice and they were all wonderful. ”

He took good care of us and made us feel very cozy here. Compared to other overrated restaurants in Bodrum, Sumakh Restaurant stands out. The location is great, offering a full view of the marina. The interior design is very pretty, music is very nice (modern). The staff is professional and kind. Sumakh Restaurant is definitely a must-try in Bodrum. ”
